Sorted into three lists
Name a file “Voice 004” and it lands in Recordings. Drop a thirty-second track into Music and it stays a song. The rules run on the file itself, so nothing has to be tagged by hand. Anything the app gets wrong can be moved in one tap.

Playlists and a queue that behave
Adding a track tells you which playlists already have it, so nothing is added twice. “Add to queue” appends without interrupting what is playing; tapping a row replaces the queue, the way a tap should.

Every control inside your thumb
The mini-player carries previous, play and next, and a seek bar you can actually drag. Swipe it up for the full player: artwork, elapsed and remaining time, and repeat that cycles off, all, one.

No network permission at all
The app cannot phone home, because it never asks Android for the internet. Nothing is collected, nothing is uploaded, and it plays in aeroplane mode on the first launch.

A file in the wrong tab, a playlist that will not open, a crash on launch. Include the phone model, the Android version and the file name. It saves a round trip.
